Garfield County “Safer at Home” plan update

Per the governor’s order regarding “Safer at Home” beginning on April 27th, Garfield County will be following the governor’s plan with two notable differences:

1) Garfield County has already been allowing retailers to offer curbside delivery and pickup. April 27 will not change this practice.

2) Retail and personal services will not be allowed to open until Monday, May 4. The Governor’s order states May 1. This is because all Garfield County business owners will need to fill out an online plan for their business in regard to social distancing planning. These online plan forms and business guidance documents will be made available by close of business Friday, April 24 on the Garfield County website.

We want to give our local businesses and agencies adequate time to complete these plans. We will continue to provide updates and additional information at www.garfield-county.com, and through our newsfeed, www.garfieldcounty.net, and our Facebook page, @garfieldhealth for Garfield County Public Health.
